Hi! I’m Thea.

My hand-folded kanzashi floral work has been worn by the famous and the neighbors next door.

These days I dabble in vintage sewing and vintage sewing machine repair.

Please check out my YouTube Channel for more on that.

More About Thea

I am a Whidbey Island, Washington native. My first job was in my father's auto body repair shop. My hands were constantly dirty covered in grease and paint. This is where I learned how to mix colors and use automotive resins to sculpt shapes.

Growing up on an island with limited resources my creativity soared in the family shop which lends to my work today. My bi-racial heritage also has a strong influence in my handmade work. I take pride in interpreting a centuries old art for today's lifestyles.

I founded and skated for a roller derby league in 2006 in Everett, Washington. The Jet City Rollergirls community is one of my favorite creations.
